Church Holiday at Bassenfell

Here are one or two pictures from the church holiday at Bassenfell Manor in the Lake District. Sam Gordon gave the morning talks on the greatness of God and this was very uplifting and challenging. The other activities were a Pitch and Putt Golf tournament, Jigsaws (a very poular activity each year), a visit to Whitehaven and, this year, a Carpet Bowls tournament. In between activities, there was time to walk, talk and eat, finishing as usual with a lunchtime meal at The Horse and Farrier in Threlkeld. In all of this, as anyone who has attended in the past knows, there is a great amount of fun and laughter within the group. It can actually be hard to get people to bed at the end of the evening because no-one wants to miss any of the fun! Bassenfell is already booked for next year, so do consider joining us. I am sure you would enjoy it.

The annual photo opportunity.

 Ready for a walk!

About to set off for an evening stroll.
